We all SAND together

A series of 5 free online conversations, 40-minutes each, every evening of the week commencing 20th May 2024.

Sign up to join in: CLICK HERE

Open to LGBT+ people over the age of 50 who live (at least some of the time) in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.

Discussions will be themed and you can sign up to as few or as many as you like.

These will be informal conversations, encouraging participants to raise the questions they want to ask. We are not providing answers or having deep and meaningful discussions, that would be far too heavy – we are simply trying to find out what sort of questions we have in our heads!

NB – The original drop-in event of the same name, scheduled for 2nd May has now been CANCELLED. Please book for the online discussions. We will be scheduling 2 Face-to-Face coffee mornings as well, a little further down the line.

Dementia Information Day

Hosted by Radfield Home Care (i.e. this is  not ‘our’ event but we shall be there!)

17th May 2024 10am – 3pm at Shrewsbury Town Football Ground, Montgomery Waters Meadow, Oteley Road, Shrewsbury, SY2 6ST.

The event has been organised to provide information and support to those living with dementia, their families and carers.

If you have any questions, concerns about or interest in Dementia, then come along to this FREE Information Day which brings together a whole load of local agencies working in some way to support people with dementia and their carers.

Radfield Home Care has taken it upon themselves to organise this event to fill a gap in local knowledge and it is well worth the time and trouble to come along if you have any experiences or connection at all with dementia. This is the second time they have hosted this valuable event and we certainly found it really interesting last year.

NB. Radfield Home Care as been working with SAND to EMBRACE A Culture of Inclusion since March 2022.

The Dementia Support Information Day is a fantastic opportunity for those affected by dementia to access the advice and assistance they need. If you would like further information about the event or Radfield Home Care’s services, please call Karen Corcoran on 01743 245 555 or email karen.corcoran@radfieldhomecare.co.uk.
